As an avid outdoorsman, who spends most of the year living outside, I have the opportunity to try out a lot of different products. And because of the way I live my life, I subject my gear to some of the toughest conditions and rigorous use. Here is some of my favorite gear with links and my honest opinion of how it performs (if you know me at all, I’m not one to sugar coat anything).
Side note: I am starting out with my thru-hiking gear. This is the thru-hiking gear I can’t recommend enough, especially to someone just starting out. I can’t tell you how many times I see people get injured on their first hike because their gear is just too heavy. If thru-hiking isn’t your thing, don’t despair, I’ll be adding climbing gear and other outdoor favorites soon!
