Aside from being ultra-light (20.8oz), the DupleXL is longer (by 6″) and taller than the regular Duplex model, which, as a guy who is 6’1” with size 12.5 feet (who uses a 3” sleeping pad), is something I greatly appreciate. While this tent is narrower than the Duplex, it’s only by an inch – so you’re not really sacrificing much to get, in my opinion, a much more comfortable sleep. With this tent, I never have to worry about my head or feet getting wet from condensation, because they don’t touch the edges. There is an overhang to ensure condensation drips out of the tent, and plastic stays to help keep the roof in the right position (so you don’t have to worry about the basin of your tent becoming a bucket).
